Summary
_The Manhattan Project was a research and development project run by the
United States to develop Nuclear Weapons. The scheme was run by Robert
Oppenheimer, and throughout the course of the plan three nuclear bombs
were developed. By 1945 the United States was in possession of the
"Little Boy" "Fat man" and "Trinity" which were all tools for mass
destruction. The Little Boy was dropped over Hiroshima, and the Fat Man
on Nagasaki. Due to these bombings, the Emperor of Japan addressed his citizens and told them the enemy had a weapon even their honor could not defeat. The bombings ended the war in the Pacific.
