Summary
_The end of the war was signalled in 1945 by U.S president Harry Truman.
He had decided to drop two atomic bombs three days apart on the Japanese
cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. 100,000 Japanese people were killed
instantly in Hiroshima, while on 70,000 were killed at the bombing of
Nagasaki. Unfortunately, the consequences of the bombings continued as
the exposure to radiation killed mass numbers of people in the future.
Finally, Japan surrenders to the United States after the fact.
